Numbering is done according to MPT1327 protocol and is Fylde specific.
Authentication of a unit is done according to the numbering system used on the network and only when a prefix and ident for a specific radio is loaded into the memory banks of the trunking system will it allow the use of the radio on the network.
Electronic serial numbers are also used for authentication. It is also possible to allow PSTN/PABX interconnection on a per radio basis.
