Grade of Service

Grade of Service is defined in MPT 1327 terminology.

For instance a 10 % Grade of Service is defined as a service in which not more than 10 % of all calls made in the busy hour will queue for longer than 20 seconds. Call set-up times for local calls is typically 250 msec and for intersite calls are approximately 2 seconds.

95 % of all calls go through insimultaneously.

Once the call set-up has been made, no delay after PTT is experienced.

Call set-up and transmission for status calls and short data messages are approximately 250 msec.
