Emergency Calls and Call Savers

Emergency Calls are the highest priority of any calls that can be passed through the Fleetcall Trunking Network.

Advantages over other calls can be summarised as follows :

  • Always goes to the top of any queue.
  • Can prematurely terminate a non emergency call to make way for it.
  • Can invoke a different call duration timer.

Top of the queue will ensure that the emergency call will be the next on channel, if that is all that is blocking it. If the called party is busy, then the call will be held until the called party clears.

Pre-emptive clearing of non-emergency calls will attempt to remove any and all conflicts in the system that are preventing the progress of the emergency call.

The Call Timer for any emergency call can be set to a different value than normal voice calls (currently set on the Fleetcall Network for 90 seconds).
