Non Prescribed Data Calls

Non Prescribed Data (NDP) calls are available for individual as well as talk groups. Voice channels (12.5 kHz) dedicated for NPD are allocated for individual and multi point (Group Calls). A monthly access fee will be charged for the area coverage required per radio. This can vary from a single site service to a regional service up to a full National service. Unlimited Status Calls are FREE OF CHARGE. Long data messages in a free format at 1200 bits per second are accommodated in the voice airtime quota at no extra charge. Services such as telephone interconnect, group calls and higher priority calls are optional.
Short Data Messages

Short Data Messages consist of 23 free formatted data bytes for individual and talk groups. The short data service is real time with possitive receipt acknowledgement as part of the call set-up. SDM's can be used as either a data only service or a combined service with the voice package per radio. Standard Reporting : A monthly access charge for a country-wide data only service is applicable. An additional monthly charge for a reporting rate of one SDM per hour will give you 1000 SDM's per month as the Standard Quota. Unlimited use of status calls are free. Medium Reporting : This popular service is available at a monthly access charge for a countrywide data only service. An additional monthly charge for use of one SDM every half-hour will give you a convenient Medium quota of 1800 SDM's per month. Unlimited use of status calls are free of charge. Prime Reporting : A monthly access charge will give you countrywide data only service. An additional monthly charge for one SDM every 15 minutes will give you a Prime quota of 3200 SDM's per month. Unlimited use of status calls are free of charge. Monthly Access Charge : For this combined service, the access charges for the Voice Services are applicable, and can be combined with any one of the SDM packages (Standard, Medium- or Prime Reporting).

30 Different pre-defined messages are available and these messages are real time with positive receipt acknowledgement as part of the call set-up. This is an unlimited FREE OF CHARGE service in addition to voice- or data services.
